Last night on American Gladiators they announced that Beast would be making his first appearance during the semi-finals. He looks a little angry in this picture. If I had to wear furry underwear like that on TV, I would be, too.

VOTE: Gladiator Poll Hurricane & Phoenix

I’m surprised. I thought that Wolf and Crush would be the winners, maybe because they are my favorites. Why does Hurricane have so many votes? Have I missed something about him? I had no idea he was so popular. Can someone give me some info on this? I’m really curious.

Results so far: The male gladiators have 149 votes counted and Hurricane is in the lead with 72% of them.  The female gladiators have 123 votes total. Phoenix is in the lead with 57% of the votes and Crush is next with 27%.

ABC’s Wipeout Possibly American MXC

There have been two episodes of ABC’s new show Wipeout. It reminds me of MXC, only unlike MXC, Wipeout is family friendly (more about MXC below). Episode three airs Tues, July 8, 8/7c. Each week 24 daring new contestants of all ages, shapes and sizes will go head to head through four rounds of grueling and physically demanding but wildly hilarious obstacle courses to win the title of Wipeout Championand the grand prize of $50,000. The contestants and the courses change every week, with over-the-top obstacles including “Dizzy Dummy” the “Dirty Balls” and “The Dreadmill” - which will have contestants jumping hurdles on a 40-foot long treadmill at warp speed. About MXC:  In Japan from 1986 to 1989 there was a popular gameshow called ‘Takeshi’s Castle’ where contestants have to run through obstacle courses. Often they ended up getting clobbered. MXC is a re-dubbing in English of that old show. It is funny but definitely not appropriate for kids (unless you turn the volume down all the way). The last new episode premiered in February 2007, and no word has been made at this time whether any more new episodes will be produced. On Spike, usually in the middle of the night, you can catch MXC.

Hellboy 2 - July 11, 2008

They are really pushing Hellboy 2, The Golden Army, and making it look good. It will be in theatres July 11, 2008 (PG-13). The advertisements are pretty cool. They are so funny! Follow the link below to watch them:

Kung Fu Panda Review

We’ve been to see Kung Fu Panda twice now. The kids and I really enjoyed the movie. The second time we took grandma with us and she loved it. As we left she said, “Good movie, very uplifting.” Click here for more: Kung Fu Panda Review and some trivia on Jack Black and Angelina Jolie. I mentioned to my younger son that she has adopted children from different countries and he said, “Oh, I get it. Like souvenirs.”

American Gladiator Wedgies

Tonight I decided to try watch the American Gladiator ‘Hulk Episode’ online because I missed it this week. I ran into a problem though. I was forced to watch commercials about wedgies. I’m really spoiled by my DVR, I guess. I’m used to skipping all the commercials. What are they going to try to sell us next? The wedgie thing totally ruined my fun. Damn.
